When retired NYC firefighter Tolik and his son Leo make a wish for their favorite NFL team to win the Super Bowl, Tolik is visited by his late older brother Max, who grants him his wish on one condition: that he finally face the impact of losing him which has resulted in Tolik’s gradual estrangement from his grief-stricken Russian immigrant parents, and current marital separation from his wife Cora.

Choosing one last-ditch effort to repair his marriage, Tolik sells his Super Bowl tickets to afford that family dream vacation, only to be forced to confront his long-buried anger.

With a pop-rock musical score, inspired by deep loss and survivor's guilt, this genre-bending, bait-and-switch sports-centered musical is a story about why we choose the teams we choose and learning to break our dysfunctional familial patterns. Whatever it takes.

This intimate one-act musical is a unique blend of magical realism and family dramedy performed with an onstage band who might also double up as different characters. 

A minimal set and production elements include multimedia, sports footage, flashbacks, and personal images to suggest time and place.  

This genre-bending sports-centered musical is a story for die-hard sports fans, who also just might secretly love musicals.
