TOLIK - aka sinok [son], (30s). Male identifying, a retired NYC firefighter, son of Russian immigrants. Mostly awkward, wide-eyed with a heart of gold. Miserable NY JETS fan. Russian-speaking actors are a plus.

MAX - (30s - 40's). Male identifying, Tolik's protective older brother. Super cool with a great sense of humor. Will appear as a spirit, and flashbacks to guide Tolik's journey. Russian-speaking actors are a plus.

LEO - (10 -12) Male identifying son of Tolik, a miserable NY JETS fan in training. Inquisitive and good-natured. Big dreamer. Adores his dad and shows it by giving him a hard time. Has a dry sense of humor. Sneaky funny. 

CORA - (30s) Ethnically ambiguous/BIPOC female-identifying, wife of Tolik. Currently separated and doing her best to co-parent Leo through her marital disconnection. Grounded and doesn't sugarcoat. She knows how to cut through the bullshit. Dry sense of humor.

TATIANA - (60s) Soviet-born Russian. Female identifying, overly protective Mother of Tolik. Big-hearted and kind, but nowadays it's difficult for them to see eye to eye. Some Russian dialogue. 

SASHA - (60s) Soviet-born Russian. Male identifying, hard exterior, Father of Tolik, with a soft heart. He is grief-stricken and disconnected from his youngest surviving son since the passing of his eldest son, Max. Has difficulty expressing his emotions. Some Russian dialogue.

ENSEMBLE, 3 - 5 PLAYERS, Vocal beasts will play SPORTS ANGELS and various parts. Can also be played by ONSTAGE BAND.
